Hi! My name is Tatiana. You can call me Tati.
I like beauty. And beauty for me is all about creating functional solutions. Like the beauty of communication, that is able to engage and empower people, and also improve their experience. A meaningful and creative beauty.
I was born in Russia but lived most of my life in Brazil. Now I live in the Netherlands (which is very gezellig) with my partner & a rescued greyhound from Spain.

Open Knowledge Brasil & Operação Serenata de Amor
2016 - current
In 2016 I joined Operação Serenata de Amor (Wikipedia link) - a project that uses machine learning for social control of public administration. See the official page in English to learn more about it, trust me, it's amazing.
In Jun/2018, the project became part of Open Knowledge Brasil (OKBR) and I took the position of Communication Coordinator. Today I am responsible for the strategic planning for communication and social media of the projects that are part of the organisation.
This is not a one-(wo)man effort: we work as a team even though many of us haven't ever met in real life. And let me just say that I'm very proud of this organisation and of every single person that is part of it. I could not be more grateful. I never learned so much and never have I ever felt that I'm bringing a contribution to the society.
At this point I'm involved with:
Short, medium and long-term planning for the visual and written online content;
Weekly curating content about open government, open education and science, civic technologies and political innovation;
Presentations for possible investors;
Writing articles and reports;
Creating infographics for articles;
Web content management;
New projects: strategy, promotion and implementation;
Viracopos International Airport (VCP)
november/2012 - september/2016
And since then all that is related to aviation fascinates me: airports, travellers, aircrafts, the people involved in all kind of airport's operations.
At first I entered the company as a third-party employee (nov/2012), soon hired on a on-role position as a Junior Analyst (jan/2013) and later promoted to Senior Analyst (aug/2014). After I left the company (sep/2016) I worked with them as a freelancer.
Working at the Marketing area at the airport is the best definition of "been there, done that":
Created social media channels from scratch (Facebook and Instagram) including: content creation and management, communication strategies, analysis of similar accounts;
Internal email marketing (with Mailchimp);
Internal communication campaigns (online and printed);
Wayfinding project: I took part in the project working with other colleagues, an agency and also different suppliers. My principal roles were the mapping of the airport areas; creation of the materials following the pattern; mediation between suppliers and other airport areas to enable the physical installation;
Stand design for fairs;
World Cup 2014 reception: team effort to create events to welcome international soccer teams that arrived at the airport;
Web content management;

Just after university I went to work briefly at an a publicity agency and after that I started and internship in a union at their press.

"What is your greatest strength?”
I’m a perfecti… I’m just kidding. I would say I’m good in prioritising. Working from home and for different clients simultaneously I learned how to manage my time and workload, considering the deadlines and creating priorities. Despite the fact that there's always room for improvement, the key here is to know each task's importance and when to stop: a balance between a good solution and a satisfaction for the client and/or the user and then, for me.
"What is your greatest weakness?”
I live in the Netherlands and I still don't know how to ride a bike! But I already started learning :)
"Are you a leader? Do you have a leadership profile?"
I could say yes. But I would be lying.
Leadership is a skill that I haven't developed yet.
On the other hand, I am proactive and teamwork comes easy to me. I'm a good listener, very patient in teaching other people, available to help others and also keen to learn.
"What is your ambition?"
Regardless of what I do, I want to make the difference by doing it - for me, for the people involved in it and for anyone who will make use of it. A while ago I went through an experience that changed my conception of success - if we ever meet I'll tell you all about it.
"Do you have a VISA to work in Europe?"
Who needs VISA with all these skills??? (Yes, my VISA allows me to work here.)
